CyclingSavvy

CyclingSavvy classes teach the principles of Mindful Bicycling in three separate courses:  in the classroom, on the bicycle, and out in the city.  The national program is taught locally by our very own Pamela Murray.  About Pam from the CyclingSavvy site:

I’ve only been riding my bike since 2006. I love riding my bike every day everywhere. I want to teach Cycling Savvy classes so you can ride your bike everywhere. Riding a bike using the CyclingSavvy skills and strategies empowers most people to be able to ride where ever they want to go. I founded Charlotte Spokes People to get more people riding their bike. I’m also the Charlotte coordinator for Bike Benefits, the organizer and leader of the Plaza Midwood Tuesday Night Ride and the Sunday Slow Ride. Come ride with me.

Scholarship / Grant

Want to take the class, but low on cash?  There is a subsidy available funded by CLT Spokes People provided by Charlotte Bike Benefits.  The three classes are typically $95.  Write to find out how to reduce the fee to $45 for all three classes.  (Attendance for all three classes is required for the scholarship.  Failure to attend will require reimbursement to the scholarship fund.)
